ROSE SHOW.

A MAGNIFICENT DISPLAY. The annual rose show ol' the Canterbury Horticultural Society was held in the Art Gallery to-day. The display was of extremal v high class, the quality of some of the blooms being wonderful in view of the recent hot. dry weather. The entries of roses was the best ever received, there bin? a? many as eighteen entries iu some of the olaesee. The sweet pea entry was the best ever received at a rose show, a result of the earhnesa of the eeasou. The .judges were': —Hoses, Messrs A. E. Lowe and J. E.
