December 1. .Shipping Companies have »gnounced aubstantiaJ reductions in passenger rates between Australian and Vew Zealand ports and Europe. The rates on tile mail steamers were. first ' lass £l3O to £l7O. The new rate will be £ll4 to £1 34. The second class rates were £lO5 to £l2O. The now J-ato w ill be £B6 to £9O.
