PROTEST AGAINST LEASE EXTENSION. (Pxb Press Association.) DUNEDIN, November 30. An indigne.tion meeting at Cromwell which was attended by returned soldiers and prospective setvters. protested against the action of the. Government in granting an extension of the lease of all pastoral runs in the district as being against the best interests of the district. The meeting demanded re-classification with a view to a further sub-division on a fourteen years’ renewable lease.
