Speakers at the convention of the I World League against Alcoholism i which is being held at Toronto, de- | dared that the prevalence of an illicit 1 liquor traffic in the legally dry couni tries of the world, especially in the | l lilted States, was due to laxity in the | enforcement of the prohibition laws. * The consensus of opinion in the Teague, is that drastic measures must be taken in older to command respect for the prohibition laws. Delegates from the United States declared that the eighteenth amendment of the United States Constitution would never be repealed, and that the forces of law and order would ultimately triumph over the breakers of the prohibition law.
