BILLIARDS. D. Bamford defeated T. Gallety in the final of the flying fifty handicap tournament played at the Lyttelton Club on Monday evening. SWIMMING. A meeting of the newly-formed ladies’ branch of the Corsair Bay Swimming Club was held in the Trinity Schoolroom on Monday evening, there being an attendance of about forty members. Mr C. Moulin presided. The following officers were elected: — Club captain, Miss A. Arneson; victecaptain, Mrs T. Taylor; secretary, Mrs T. Perry; treasurer, Miss A. Torrins. Mrs Porteous was elected to act with the other officers on the committee. The meeting decided that the opening day should be held next month, on a date to be fixed.
