October 27. i Though so far milch below requirements, the rain has relieved the situation considerably in the dry areas, anil has been particularly welcome in the wheat districts. Reports indicate that many crops, which had been considered doomed, have been at least partially saved, and the harvest prospects of those which were in a fair condition have been much enhanced.
