TO-DAY’S CASES. CHRISTCHURCH. < Before Mr W. Wilson, S.AI.) DR f'XKEXXESS. A statutory first offender was fined ss. in default twenty-four hours’ imprisonment. Richard Sheehan, a second offender, was fined 20s. in default three days’ imprisonment. A MISSING HORSE COLLAR. Frederick Ponninghaus. alias John Stevenson (Mr A. J. M alley) was charged that on October 5. at Papanui, he stole a horse collar valued at £2, the property of Frank Sisson. Senior-Detective T. Gibson said that there, were further charges pending against the accused. The accused was remanded to appear on Wednesday next, and bail was allowed. himself in £IOO and two sureties of £SO each. BY-LAW CASE*-. Henry Denham, for driving a taxi without a license, was fined 20s and John Waddell, for leaving a car without lights, was fined 10s and costs. James Dow. for cycling without lights, was fined 10s and costs. Lauritz Hansen was fined 5s and costs for leaving a <ar unlighted on a parking place. For driving a car without a tail light he was ordered Nicholas Henry Straw, for driving a motor-car without lights, was fined 20s and costs. The information laid against Frederick Ruthberg for leaving his car unliglited was dismissed.
