PRESENTATION TO MR H. B. GOULD. A very pleasing function was held in the manager’s office of Everybody’s Theatre'yeeterrfaj' afternoon, when the. directors and managerial staff met to farewell Mr H. B. Gould, who has resigned his position as secretary to the company, and is Roving tu commence business on his own account in the North Island. Mr W. S. .Mitchell, chairman of directors of the company, expressed his re grot that alter seven years of completely satisfactory service Mr Goulo was severing his connection with the company. Mr Gould had always had the confidence of the directors.of Everybody’s Theatre, and in no way had he betrayed it Ho had carried out hi duties : n an absolutely faithful and straightforward way. and was always anxious to do his best for the company. His close attention to business detail was admirable, and he would be an asset to any company. Mr Mitchell sincerely hoped that Mr Gould, in his new sphere, would continue to climb the golden ladder, and he felt cure with his ability and knowledge and aptness for detail, the top rung would bo reached with but little difficulty. Colonel C. J- Cooper (director; said that Mr Gould would be hard to replace. He had always been a courteous and energetic secretary. Mr B. J. Moore (director) expressed his: regret- chat Mr Gould was leaving F. eery body’s Theatre. All the time h. had been connected with the company in an official position it had been a pleasure to work with Mr Gould. Mr Harry Waters (manager) and Ms W ,1. Bannehr wished All* Gould every success in his new venture, and endorsed the remarks of the other speakers. Mr Mitchell, on behalf of the directors and the managerial staff of Every, body’s Theatre, presented Mr Gou! i with a handsome suit case and a col i fountain pen ae a mark of the esteem in which he was held by the officers of the company. Mr Gould, in replying, thanked til. 1 directors for the handsome present on-: kindly farewell. He would always be nroud of his seven years’ connection with Everybody’s Theatre. Ho ha i always done his best, and his work had been appreciated- He had been secretary of many organisations and com panies. bub he had never worked for such a body of men who had treated him so honestly, loyally and well as those connected with Everybody’s Theatre.
