THE PRESBYTERY.

TO-DAY’S MEETING. The Christchurch Presbytery met this morning. Rev J. D. Webster pre-siding. Gratification was expressed at the work o' the ministers and congregations of St. Andrew’s and St. Paul's Churches, as revealed in the reports of the visitation commissions. It was decided to invite '-he General Assembly to sit at Christchurch in 1923. the date to be fixed later. The Rev W. O. Robb, Blenheim, was nominated a-s moderTlie Rev. G. Lindsay communicated to the Presbytery an offer by an anonymous donor of a site at Governors Bay: together with £SOO for a house, which, it was suggested, should be a rest-house for ministers. A committee was set up to make further inquiries with respect ;o the offer, it being decided that the donor should be thanked for his offer. A legacy of £IOOO was received from the estate of the late Mr John Pow. of Parnassus. A decision as to the manner m which the money should be employed wan defer red ____
