For the semi-final gallops at Randwick the going was excellent. Gloaming covered seven furlongs in lmin 295 sec. T-ressayr and Cupidon together went a similar distance in lmin 33feec. Molyneux did ten furlongs in 2min 1 T^eec. Loyal Irish covered five furlongs in lmin 62sec. Beauford. going easily, did a mile in lmin 06sec. Julia Grey went a mile in lmin 45sec. Caaerta beat Punch over ten fnriongs in 2min 173aec. Fleurist did seven furlonss in lmin 33*see. Rostrum beat Ktrathredale over seven fnr longs in lmin 33Isec.
