It is understood that the Pacific Cable .Board, on the recommendation ol their Australian representatives, overruled Mr Mil ward’s decision regarding the duplication of the BrisbaneVaneouver section. In view of the wireless agreement, the development of which i<= considered likeiv to prevent the duplication becoming a commercial proposition, the board decided to proceed onlv as fains laying the cable from Brisbane to Sydne\ Auckland, and Fiji.
