Mr S. Pag©, who has be©n leoiurer in chemistr*- at ran ter bury College for many years, liae resigned, and his resignation was accepted by the Board of Governors j-esterday. He ha 6 been in the board’s service for forty-five years. Entries closed last night for the Canterbury Horticultural Society’s annual spring show, which takes place in the Art Gallery next Thursday and Friday. The entry is a good one, especially in the daffodil classes. A special exhibit will be made of the famous seedling daffodils from “ Otahuna.” These are particularly fine this year. The interprovincial daffodil competition will take place in Dunedin on October 4. It is expected that a fin© exhibit will be sent from Canterbury.
