LOST ON RIMUTAKAS.
MAN MISSING FROM KAITOKE. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September 22. On Monday morning last, according to information received at the City police station, a man named James M’Grath, aged forty, employed on relief work at Kaitoke, strayed from camp and apparently lost his way on the Rimutaka range. He was last seen at the summit of the mountains, at about 6 p.m. on Monday but has not been seen or heard of since. Recently he received an injury to his head, which may be the ehuse of his disappearance. Search parties have been despatched over the surrounding country, hut so far no trace of the missing man has been found. M’Grath was very dark, and five feet 11 inches in height.
