Advice was received from the Nelson Automobile Association to the effect that they had written to the Minister of Pub- . lie Works suggesting that the Nelson-Blon-heim road should be taken over by the ! A lettof- from the Automobile Union stated there was a probability of the Motor Vehicles Bill being thrown out unless an agreement was reached as to the license fees to be levied on motorists. The secretary reported that he had replied setting out the South Island views ' in favour of the tyre tax.
