UNDERGRADE WHEAT.
DISPOSAL OF STOCKS. DISCUSSED BY FARMERS’ UNION. The difficulties facing farmers who have stocks of undergrade wheat ori their hands were discussed at the meeting of the North Canterbury Provincial Executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union this afternoon. “ The farmers .arc in great trouble over tins matter and the Government should b‘ asked to take immediate steps to' find markets for this wheat,” was the view expressed and endorsed by members. After considerable discussion a motion by Air AlcAlillan that Government be asked as an urgent matter to find markets and arrange for shipping to dispose of the undergrade wheat in the Dominion, was carried. It was further decided that the executive should have power U? confer with other farmers’ executives and secure then* support in the matter.
