(Received August 23, 9.12 a.m.) DELHI, August 22. A telegram has been received by the “ Statesman ” newspaper of Calcutta from the missing airmen, stating: “Down one mile south of Lukhidia Char, through engine failure. We are all right now, but petrol is short owing to heavy adverse wind. Advise Chittagong to keep a lookout for us from high tide on Tuesday. We are living on milk supplied by the natives in exchange for cigars. Malm.’’ Captain Malin and MacMillan, in the seaplane, set off from Lahore on Saturday morning for Akyab, in Burma, a four-hours' journey. Since then no news had been received from them. A wireless request to keep a look-out for them was broadcasted to all ships. The worst was feared, and a Government search steamer was despatched on Monday last.
