Owing to the heavy weather it was decided last uiglit to postpone indefinitely the sailing of the Canterbury Sea Scout ship “ The Sea Scout ” (formerly the Annie Hill) from Lyttelton rouirt to Redcliffs. An application by the Royal Christ church Musical Society for a subsidy for teaching music in schools has been declined by the Education Department, as it does not come within the regulations. The Appointments Committee of the Canterbury Education Board now has the question of teaching music in schools under consideration.
