CONSERVING THE FORESTS.

ANNUAL MEETINC OF LEAGUE. (Pf.r Press Association’.) WELLINGTON. July 20. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Forestry League the chairman (Sir J. Wilson) emphasised the necessity for conserving the forests, and spoke of the small cost to the government of the department, which, he said, was only £7OOO.
