"While the old Republican Parliament has been convened here ior the first time since it was dissolved in 1917. and has adopted a programme aimed at the unification of China, news has come that fighting between Wu-Pei-Fu and Shang-tso-lin’s forces lias been resumed along the Chinese eastern, railway near Houfengtai. Wu-Pei-Fu’s objective is the southern strip of Manchuria.
