REPAIRING BURST COVERS.

IS IT WORTH WHILE? When a motorist has a blow-out or gash in his tyro, the question arises, il Is it worth while to have it repaired. Air is it better to buy a new one?" There is no doubt that several motorists have boon unfortunate in their experiences of tyre repairs—the repairs not being satisfactory. With the object of gaining information on this point, a representative of tlus paper interviewed Mr E. F. E. Audibert, the patentee of the wellknown E.W.G repair outfit. Mr Audibert admited that there was a great deal of dissatisfaction over tyre repairs, and said !he was constantly being sent other people’s indifferent work to fix up. (Here the writer was shown two .curb covers from which the patches had come off. dsclosing huge gashes.) Motorists should remember that there was ns much difference between repair work properly done and carelessly done as there was between hand-made boots and machine-made ones on the handsown principle. These unsatisfactory job?, gave the trade a had naenc. He added that a gash or blow-out was a simple matter to repair efficiently by the aid of the E.W .O. if the directions were carefullv followed. Such a repair prolongs the life of cover and tube, and ten times the mileage can be obtained at half the cost. The outfit is inexpensive and handv to carry. Mr Audibert added that he would he pleased to give a free demonstration of its effectiveness at Wilson and Co’s, 245, Madras -Street, to anyone interested.
