At the inquest on Wynne and Edwards. a finding was returned that Wynne, while temporarily insane, due to war privations, shot Edwards and then committed suicide. Evidence was given that Wynne was sometimes queer in his manner. He seldom spoke to the other men, and even refused to work with them. Three returned soldiers, named Rogers, Wynne and Edwards, were farming on a partnership basis near Wagin. Rogers arrived in the township and reported that, after hearing two shots at the homestead, he encountered Wynne, who threatened to shoot him. The police visited the farm and found F/dwards shot deaf- the house and Wynne, a mile awa_, dth his throat cut and fatally shot.
