BRITISH OR AMERICAN ?
CONSTRUCTION OF SYDNEY S BRIDGE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Oopyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received May 20, 11.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, May 20. Alderman Brook, M.L-.C-, expressed indignation at the likelihood of the Sydney Harbour bridge being built by Americans. Tt would be repugnant, he said, to think that, in *the year» to come, the bridge would be a permanent slur on the capacity of British industry. The work should be performed from beginning to end by British workmen.
