PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEES
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 19. Wages and conditions of labourers in the employ of the Public Works Department will be reviewed at a conference to be held between the Minister of Public Works, the Hon J. G. Coates, officers of the Department, and representatives of the New Zealand Work ers’ Union on June *2l. The possibility of employees obtaining increavses in wages will be discussed, as well improvements in working conditions which are wanted by the men.
