REDUCED MEAT PRICES.
IN OPERATION NEXT WEEK The Board of Trade has completed au investigation of the retail prices of meat in Christchurch. The outcome of this inquiry and the reduction m wages bonus, is that butchers have decided to reduce their prices £d to Id per lb, according to cuts. The board has issued the following statement:—” The new prices will come into operation next week. Some butchers will charge more than others, but if buyers will only use their discretion and buy carefully, they will find that they should be able to obtain tn© best prime quality meat at or about the following prices for cash.” In supplying the following prices, the board states that it should be remembered that tho prices are for prime quality and for cash : — Per lb-
