CANTERBURY KENNEL CLUB.
MEMBERS* LOCAL SHOW. The Canterbury Kennel Club held a sue cessful members show last evening in thf Christchurch Poultry Club’s rooms. Ther* was a good attendance of members and visitors, including a large number of ladies 2be entry was large, there being a number of good specimens of the different breeds Mr 11. H. S. Kyle was the judge. Mr W C. Leversedge. who acted as chairman in the absence of the president. Mr A. Morten through illness, thanked Mr Kyle for hiservices. Mr Kyle, in replying, gave a few hints to novices and suggested that the classes at one of the evening shows should be confined to beginners in the fancy. The following are the results:— Puppy Class (fifteen entries)—Mrs Fred Baldocks* Pomeranian Rrookland Sunbeam 1. D. M'Kcnzie’s Airedale Terrier being runner-up. Novice Class (thirteen entries) Mrs Baldock's Pomeranian Brookland Sunbeam 1, •T. S. Durie’s Smooth Fox Terrier Woolston Sparks 2. Open Clasp—A. ,T. M’Entee's Airedale Brooksiue Prince 1. .1. Wakely's Smooth Fox Terrier Dark Anthony 2. F. Welsby’s Pomeranian Carnarvon Wee Karo 3.
