(Per Pelkum Association.] HAVELOCK SCHEAIE. HASTINGS, May 17. The formal opening of the Havelock North hydro-electric power scheme of 250-h.p. from the Alaraetotara stream for local suppliers took place this afternoon in the presence of representatives of Napier, Hastings, Waipukurau and Hawke’s Bay local bodies. Several speakers stressed the delay of the Government regarding pushing on the IV aikaremoana scheme and urged pressure oil Alinisters or that local bodies should follow th© lead of Havelock North and take th© matter into their own hands.
