In the first round of the Lossiemouth tournament Kirkwood did 31 out and 38 home, thus breaking the links’ record. Tho other competitors included Duncan, Ray. Mitchell. Havers and Boomer. Before the tournament opened Duncan and Pay were the first favourites, and Kirkwood was second.
