The Premier (Sir George Fuller) ref erring to the recent reiterated request by the City Council for a Royal Comrruj-sion to inquire into civic affairs, states that it iy impracticable to appoint one for an inquiry into the whole of the period of seventeen years, but that he will acquiesce if a specific period is stated.
