HELPING THE BLIND.

ACTION BY VICTORIA LEAGUE. A meeting of members of the Victoria League was held at the City Council Chambers this morning for the-purpose of talcing action in connection with the appeal that is being made on behalf of the civilian hhnd. The president (ATrs John Deans) was in the chair and there was a good attendance. The president stated that, the league would be taking charge of the produce stall at the street sale to be held on Juno 2, and the Navy League had promised to allow its rooms to be used as a depot for receiving the produce. It was decided to write to members asking them for donations of produce, particularly the following: -Ateat. poultry, game, hares, butter, eggs, fruit, vegetables, jams, pickles and sauces. Tt was also decided to make inquiries with a view to organising a hare drive prior to the sale.
