The Chambers of Commerce conference rejected an amendment opposing Sir J. H. Cnrrutilers’ million farms scheme as impracticable. A resolution was passed urging a reduction of the duty on agricultural machinery by one-fifth per cent, and requesting the Government to abolish chocolate wheels except when they are run for strictly charitable purposes.
