METHODIST CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW. Tt has Leon decided definitely that the dates of the Lyttelton Methodist show shall be May 11 and 12. Special consideration will be given this year t-o the floral and plant sections of the show, and the prizes have been substantially increased, 13 guineas being offered in special prizes in addition to increased ordinary prizes. The entries promise to be a record. The baby show competition, which has been in progress for some time, is creating much interest. PERSONAL. Air and Airs W T. Foster will leave for Wellington this evening, where they will join tho Remuera on their way to the United Kingdom and Canada. On the eve of his departure to take up liis new position as constable in charge of New Brighton, Constable J. Hislop, who has been stationed in the port for the past two and a half years, was last evening presented by liis comrades on the police staff at Lyttelton with a fountain pen. Sergeant Al’Holm, in making the presentation, congratulated Constable Hislop, and wished him every success. Acting-Detective J. Joyce aiiso epoke in complimentary terms of Constable Hislop.
