Burton, B.A , has been appointed by the New Zealand Alliance as special organiser in connection with work among young people, the churches and generally to organise for the Prohibition Party in view of the forthcoming poll. Mr Burton, who is a returned goidier, holding a double decorn tion. is the author of the ‘‘Official Historj’ of the Auckland Regiment '* and other works. Mr Burton was, until recently, engaged in connection with Y.M.O. A. work in 'Wellington, bui is ai present in Auckland.
