Representatives of the Ashburton Associated Auctioneers met Air David Friedlander on Monday afternoon for the purpose of making him a presentation on the eve of bis departure from Ashburton for Christchurch. Air T. J. Hunter, who presided, made the presentation of a pocket wallet, and in doing so referred to the good feelings' existing among the stock firms of Ashburton. of which Air Friedla.nder had been a popular member. He wished Air Friedlander the best of good lurk in Christchurch. Air Friedlander briefly responded. At the meeting of the Ashburton Couutv Rugbv Union further reference was made to the departure of Mr Friedlander. It was decided to place o)i record the union*appreciation of Air Friedlander’s valued services to football.
