The 1922 Lambert and his Indian held the spectators thrilled by the furious pace of the “Indian” as he outclassed ail other makes. 12 M3LE —Lambert (scratch) 2nd Place, Fastest Time, and a Record 7 H.P. 24-MILE CHAMPIONSHIP— AII off scratch. Lambert and his Indian easily outdistanced all others, who were left so far back that they were not able to see the winner finish, nearest competitor being 7 mins. 26 secs, behind. 5 H.P. CHAMPIONSHIP— AII off scratch. Gordon and Cox, on Scouts, easily Ist and 2nd. Spectators were greatly impressed’ by the high speed of Scouts over other makes of 5 H.P. 18 MILE —Only 2 Indians started. Cox, 5 H.P. Scout, easily Ist. Lambert, Indian, easily 2nd. ; also made Fastest Time and another New Record. 60 MILE —Lambert (the only scratch man in the race) put up a great performance by getting 2nd Place and Fastest Time, with Record of 57 mins. 50* secs. He gave starts to racing motors and others from 1 min. 20 secs, to 27 mins. 20. secs. ONLY INDIANS COULD PUT UP THESE RECORDS. These were the only races competed in by Lambert and his Indian.
