FIRES.

— OUTER EAK IN ST ALBANS. At 10.15 a.m. to-day the Fire Brigade received a call to 30 Peel Street. St Albans, a five-roomed bungalow owned and occupied by Mr Alfred J. Dvason. It was found that a fire had started in the kitchen, whicli was severely burnt. The roof at the back portion of the house was also damaged by smoko and water. Tho building was insured for £BSO and tho contents for £250, both in the National Office.
