There will he no public inquiry into the lose of the Helen Sterling, but statements by the captain and mate will b© taken by th© American Consul at Auckland and forwarded to the State Department. The Consul is looking after th© interests of the men, and has provided them with complete outfits and is paying their expenses while they are in Auckland. Alany will be shipped to Sydney, as the men expressed, their desire to return. These will leave by the Maheno next week.
