Pending the fixing of the date for the State elections both parties are busy organising. A section of the Country Party continues to hold out against coalition with the Nationalists. Sir G. W. Fuller, leader of the Nationalist Party, and Mr W. E Wearne, leader of the Country Party, have issued an appeal to their followers to cease wrangling and link up forces to ensure the defeat of the present Government. It is understood that a Coalition Policy already lias been drafted, and includes, among other sweeping proposals, reduction of members’ salaries from £Bl6 to £SOO, reduction of taxation, economy in finance, the abolition of price fixing, and no restrictions on trade.
