Mrs IX F, Parkinson and Miss Parfcmson have left- on a visit to Sydney, Mrs E. B. Millton (Birch Hill) is staying at the United Service. Mr and Mrs J. Studholme are spending the week-end at “ Craigieburn.” Mrs Richard Allen, Fendalton, is leaving on a. holiday trip to Auckland, where she will stay at the Grand. Mr and Mrs Frank St John left Warner’s this morning, travelling by aotor to NelEon Mr and Mrs J B. Reid leave- for ingland to-day, sailing direct by the ionic. Mr Arthur Allen is staying with his brother and. sister-in-law, Mr and Mrs Richard Allen, Fendalton Road. Miss Dorothy Moore, who has been m a trip to England, has returned to Christchurch. Airs Hawthorne Ross came in from he Coast last night, and is spending l few days at the United Service. Air and Mrs J. Stud hoi mo have aken “ Middleton Grange,*’ Upper liecarton, and will go to reside there m mediately. Mrs Oaseiey, who has been staying it the “ Mill House,’’ Fendalton, with tfrs Richard Allen, hns now gone on K) Warwick House. Mrs W. S. Bean, the Vicarage, Adfington, who has been on a visit to ter mother, Airs Seddon, Wellington, ©turned to Christchurch by the ferry his morning. Air and Airs Hobbs, who with their wo children and their Ayah, have been faying at “ Kenilworth,” Cashel Street iorth, returned to their home in Dundin this morning.

Aliss Emily Chaplin, R.A.. of Christhurch, representative on the Council f Education for the women teachers f the South Island, is staying for souio Lays in Dunedin with friends.

Alias Alma Ashley Cooper left by fuesday’a express for C romwell, Cental Otago, where she will be the guest f Airs E. D. Parkerson, formerly of lark Terrace, Christchurch. Aliss Black, (Brisbane, Queensland), >ho has been spending the Christmas olidays with her sister, Airs T. Orr, at lanmer Springs, intends returning Dme about January 17. She will ho ccompanied by her niece, Aliss Ethel trr.
