PERSONAL.
The Hon AY. Downie Stewart leave 6 Dunedin by the second express to-mor-row (Saturday) for AYellington. Mr and Mrs H. P. Tompkins, of Christchurch, who have been on a trip to England, returned by the Ulimaroa. Mr AW S. AVauchop returned to Christchurch this morning after an absence of fourteen months, during which time he visited England. Wales, France, Switzerland and Italy. A AA’ellington telegram states that Sir Robert and !Lady Stout arrived in AYellington to-day. Sir Robert is greatly improved in health, but still suffering from an injury to the knee, received during his travels abroad. Mr Cecil Kelly and Mrs Elizabeth Kelly, the well-known Christchurch artists. who have been on a trip to the Old Country, arrived at AVellington by the Ulimaroa yesterday, and will reach Christchurch to-morrow morning.
