FIRE IN TOKIO.
♦ POST OFFICE DESTROYED. By Tolegraph—Press Association—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. TOKIO, January 5. A, fire which threatened the main railway station and many of the most prominent buildings in Tokio, including the Imperial Palace, destroyed the central post office, including a large foreign holiday mail. Tho Imperial Household Guard helped the firemen, who devoted considerable attention to keeping the roof of the palace cool, by pupmping water on it.
