Time—3min 44 3-ssec. ACCIDENTS Sc FATALITIES. WOUNDED IN THROAT. Georg© Storey, 63 years of age, was brought in from Rangiora to the Christchurch Hospital this morning suffering from a wound in the throat. The Hospital authorities reported today that Storey’s condition was fairly satisfactory. DEATH AFTER AN OPERATION. Alexander Songster seven years of tge, son of Mr A. Sangpter, of 179, North Avon Road, Richmond, died at a private hospital at 10.30 this morning after an for adenoids and toneilitis. An inquest will be held. CHILD KILLED. (Per Press Associations) ASHBURTON, January 0. Through a motor-cycle and side-chaii capsising near Methven yesterday evening, Norman Reid Kingston, aged nineteen months, was killed. The father, Stanley Kingston, was riding the cycle, and the child was sitting on the mother’s knee in the chair. The father «nd mother received minor injuries. SEAMAN DROWNED. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, January 6. Alfred Warren, an able seaman, was drowned last night by falling from the gangway of the steamer Huia, at OneIvunga. Warren and another seaman both fell from the gangway into the safety net beneath, Warren rolling thence into the water, sustaining a severe blow on the head. Ho sank immediately, and did not rise again. He was a single man, thirty-six years of age, and formerly was boatswain on the sailing ship Dartford. His last shore address was 78, Vivian Street, Wellington.
