MAKING BABY WORK. A new use has been found for baby’s cradle by an inventor in Sore], Quebec According to n Reuter’s message he has devised a machine which generates enough power from the to-and-fro movement of the cradle to- run sewing machines, knife cleaners and fans. & The more persistently baby refuses to go to sleep the more work he does for the house. Sleepless twins have no longer any terrors for Sorel mothers. They do the work of an additional maid. Enthusiasts for the new machine work it out that triplets afflicted with insomnia are the equivalent of a vacuum cleaner. Fathers, by means of the new machine, can also contribute to domestic wellbeing. An hour in a rocking chair will work the washing machine and save the laundry bill.
