SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS
THE BEPBESENTATIYEB. At a meeting of the executive of tlie Canterbury Centre, N.Z.A.S.A., held last night, the following team was selected to represent Canterbury at the New Zealand swimming championships, to be held iu Wellington next month: — Men a senior—C. Atkinson, 100 yd», 220yds, ■44oyds, 220yds breast stroke, 150yds back stroke; N. S. Batchelor, 880yds, 150yds back stroke; L. Hill, one mile. Ladies’ senior—G. Shaud, 100yds and 440yds. Boys’ intermediate?—N. S. Batchelor, 100yds, 220yds, 850yds; C. Herd, 100yds breast. Girls’ intermediate—Miss M. C. Sirnes, 75yds, 100yds; Miss I. Agassiz, 75yds breast stroke. Schoolboyb—V. M Teague, 100yd3, 440yds, 755'ds bi-east stroke. School girls— E. Hannan, 50yds, 100yds; D Brevard. 50yds breast stroke. All the above are open to challenge, with the exception of I.ooyds and 880yds senior men. until Friday. January 13. The necessary trials will be swum in the following week.
