N.Z. RECORD BROKEN. The Old Boys Club held a meeting at Lancaster Park last evening when good entries were reoeived for all events. Tlie •weather was ideal for running and fast times were recorded. Chief interest centred in C. H. ©Taylor's attempt to break the New Zealand record for 1000yds, held by Harding, of Wellington, whose time for the distance was -Julia 22 2-ssec. This record was established in 1910. Taylor rail the distance in 2min lb 3-sneo, and established a fresh record. Results:--220yds Handicap, boys under 16—R. O'Lough! in (Marist) 1; W. O’Loughlin, (Marist) 2: H. Tapper (West Christchurch) 3. Time, 20see. 100yds Handicap. First heat—D. IT. Black (syds), 1; C. G. Penlington (4yds), 2: J. E. Howard (7yds), 3. Time, 10 l-seec. Second heat—P. H. Aston (7yds), 1 ; J. M. P. Garrick (l£yds), 2; C. S. Goodman (2&yds), 3. Time, lOsec. Third heat—R. S. Thomson (4yds), 1; C. Mackwel] (7yds), 2: N. Harvey (6yds), 3.
