PRODUCERS’ SHIPPING LINE.
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 15. At a meeting of the recently-consti-tuted Producers’ Committee a lengthy discussion took place in committee on a proposal to form a Producers’ Board to deal wjth the question of markets. Recommendations were framed with regard to the constitution of the board, also dealing with its functions and methods of finance. These will be considered by a sub-committee, with legal assistance to prepare final recommendations on sound lines. The proposal for the establishment of a producers’ shipping line was again discussed. Further suggestions were advanced regarding the most satisfactory method of financing a mercantile shipping board. The subject is to be fully considered in the meantime and discussed again at next meeting of the committee.
