The resolution carried, at the Imperial TVar Conference in London in 1917 favouring special treatment facilities by each part of the Empire to producers and manufacturers in other parts, was quoted in the House of Commons by Major Sir P. LlovdGreame in reply to Mr Alfred Davies who asked whether the Dominions were systematically encouraged to give preference to British goods in con • tracts. Sir Lloyd-Cream© said that there was ample evidence that British industries benefitted by th© preference accorded by the Dominions.
