WEDDING.

— STEELE--WHITEFORD. The Berwick Street Presbyterian Church, St Albans, was recently the scene of a quiet but pretty wed ~ing. The church was beautifully decorated J by the friends of the bride. The contracting partita were Mr James Steele, of Kimberley, son of Airs Steele and the late Air W. J. Steele, Olioka, and Miss Margaret Rodger Whiteford, daughter of Mr and Mrs R. Whiteford. of ” Benholmc,” Aiackay, Queensland. The bride, who entered the church with her brother-in-law, Air J. H. F. Marshall, was daintily attired in a frock of ivory crepe do chine, with overdress of georgette and silver and pearl trimmings, with which was worn the usual veil and orange blossoms. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of roses and friesias. The bride was attended by Miss Alice Steele (sister of the bridegroom) as bridesmaid, wearing a pretty frock of apricot crepe de chine and georgette, and smart hat of old gold and shaded trimmings. She carried a pretty’ bouquet of spring flowers. Little Elenor Wilson, wearing a dainty frock of organdie muslin frilled to the waist, and carrying a basket of pink and blue flowers, made a charming flower girl. The bridegroom was attended bv his brother. Air Robert J. Steele, as best man. Air AV. 11. Peryman presided at the organ. Aftei* the ceremony, the guests were entertained at the Cadena by tho bride’s sister. Airs Marshall. Mr and Mrs Steele later left for Nelson.
