OBITUARY.
J. M. TWOMBY. (Pxn Pruhs Association.) TIMARU, November 1. The death is announced of Mr Jeremiah Matthew Twomey, of Texnuka. (Mr Twomey, who was a native of County Kerry, Ireland, was bom in 1847. He spent some years in tho service of the General Post Office in Cork and arrived in the Dominion in 1874, engaging in newspaper work in Wellington. Christchurch and Tirnaru. He became proprietor of the “ Temuka Leader ” in 1881 and conducted that journal for many years. He was appointed to the Legislative Council from 1898 to 1906).
