To Messrs W. S. Fleming and J. S. Chisholm, motions of appreciation were passed at last night’s meeting of the Riccarton Borough Council for the tree-planting work which they had done in Staven and Harakek© Streets respectively. Advice was received by cable on Friday that Sir Joseph Ward, Lady Ward and Mr Pat Ward were leaving San Francisco last Saturday morning by the Tahiti for Wellington. Tli© message stated that the party were Tery well.
