Councillor Rowsp added that, he we*h!d admit that the weather lat-elv had been tor outside work, but the park had been aliened to get into a bad state. Councillor O. T. Owen said the park was in a shocking condition. Councillor -T. Townsend said the borough was beincr held up to ridicule on account of the state of the park. Cricketers were complaining about thfc length of the grass and he believed that at one match the ball had been lost in the long srrai.s fifteen \ards from th«» wicket.
